RAM

The RAM (Random Access Memory) is present in all computers.

It allows the processor to temporarily store the data it needs to run a program. It is erased when the computer is turned off. By analogy, it is compared to the short-term memory of the human brain.

The data storage capacity of RAM is measured in Giga-bytes.
