To make e-mail management easier, it can be convenient to receive all your e-mails in a single interface. Once you have set up your e-mail accounts via the MG panel, you can use Windows Live Mail instead of the default e-mail portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this article, we will explain how to set up an e-mail account in Windows Live Mail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remark :<\/strong> In this tutorial we used Windows 7 with Windows Live Mail version 16. Depending on your operating system or version, the interfaces may be a little different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IMAP Configuration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The best way to set up a mailbox in a client software is to set it up as IMAP and not POP3. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some email providers do not support IMAP. Here, POP and IMAP (+ IOS Push Notifications) are supported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1 — Open Windows Live Mail and Enter your General Email Account Information<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This step is only done if it is the first use. If it is not the case, you must go to the Accounts<\/strong> > Email<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You must fill in the information in this interface:<\/p>\n\n\n

Email address <\/strong>: your email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Password<\/strong> : the password to access the mailbox. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2 — Enter Mail Server Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You must fill in the information in this interface:<\/p>\n\n\n

Incoming Server Information <\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Server type<\/strong><\/em> : IMAP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Server address<\/strong> : incoming mail server. Specify the host name of the server on which you are hosted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Port<\/strong> : the port for incoming mail is 993.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authenticate using<\/strong> :  choose Clear text<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Logon user name<\/strong> : your email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outgoing server information<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Server address<\/strong> : outgoing mail server. Specify the host name of the server you are hosted on (this is the same as the incoming mail server).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
