Introduction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of this article is to explain how to add meta tags to a page on your website. In the context we are dealing with here, a meta tag<\/em> changes the title of a page seen by a robot only, without changing the title of the page seen by the user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note :<\/strong> Metadata are data that provide information on the nature of other data in order to facilitate understanding and management. The name of a file, its size, date of creation or modification are examples of metadata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prerequisite<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Open the interface (please see the article\u00a0How to Create Web Sites<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding Meta Tags<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. In the sidebar menu, select Pages<\/strong> -> All pages<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click on the Edit this item<\/strong> icon next to any page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Once in the Page Editor, click on the SEO Options<\/strong> button:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

    1. The MetaTags<\/strong> window allows you to add all the meta tags of the page:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n
      \n
      \"\"<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n
        \n
      1. Use the Pages<\/strong> drop-down list to select the page in which you want to add the meta tags.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Add the meta tags in the appropriate fields.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Click on the Save Meta<\/strong> button to update the meta tags of the page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Ideally, repeat the operation for each page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Note:<\/strong> If the meta tag is not found for a particular page, the Global Meta<\/strong> tags are used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Clearing Meta Tags<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        1. To clear all meta tags from the current page, click on Clear Meta<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
