Motherboard

The motherboard is the printed circuit board that supports most of the components and connectors needed to operate a personal computer.

Its printed circuit boards and connection ports ensure the connection of all components and peripherals so that they can be recognized and configured by the microprocessor thanks to the program contained in the BIOS (basic input output system) that has to carry out the configuration and the correct start-up of all equipment.

The components and connectors are, among others: the connectors to the hard disks (HDD/SSD), the RAM (Random Access Memory) and the expansion cards.
